The Dutch store in Bradford, Ontario started in 1954. It is one of Bradford's longest running independent businesses today. There have been 5 Dutch families that have owned it; Hamstra, Tiekens, Medendorp, Den Bleker and Bots.
Rob & Tina Bots have been the owners of Dutch Treats since April 2016. Rob immigrated to Canada in 2011 from Noord Brabant to be with Tina. He has worked for Albert Hein (part-time), and assistant manager for Basismarkt, Aldi and Lidl back in the Netherlands. Being very familiar with Dutch & European groceries, their shop carries a large selection of Dutch groceries as well as some British, Polish & German products.
At the front of their shop is a quaint little café offering delicious Dutch favorites like beef croquettes, pannenkoek (Dutch crepes), poffertjes & more.
Come check out the many products they carry!
